The house is located on a free-perimeter plot within a private neighborhood called “Laguna Grande” in the Tigre district, province of Buenos Aires, Argentina.
This district is situated to the north of the capital city of Buenos Aires and is characterized by its abundant natural surroundings and close proximity to the delta of the Rio de la Plata.
The interior layout of the house and its key areas are organized in a clear manner.
On the ground floor, the entire public use area of the house (living room, dining room, kitchen, TV room) is organized in a large space around the central staircase, promoting integration. The service area (laundry, service room, and bathroom) is isolated on the side front.
The private areas, bedrooms, and office, are located on the upper floor. On this level, the master suite with its integrated bathroom occupies a large space.
As a common feature, all these spaces on both levels aim to enhance the best views of the lagoon and create open and bright areas.
With great generosity, the client granted us 100% creative freedom, without any restrictions, to propose the architecture we deemed most appropriate.
So, the exterior semi-covered spaces are crucial in this proposal. There are four with different characteristics. The curved pedestrian and vehicular access porch provides entry to the house. The main gallery, where the barbecue, drinks bar, outdoor dining area, and living room are located, is adjacent to the pool solarium. Connected by an exterior staircase to the pool, the chill-out area with an outdoor fireplace on the upper floor is ideal for a romantic evening. Finally, the exterior space of the master suite allows for enjoying the lagoon views while having breakfast near the bed.
