The new structure this prominent intersection situation is now accentuated by the elevation of this sculptural building and the special façade design implements the modern interpretation of the Wilhelminian town-building idea of emphasising a corner situation through special architecture and ornamentation in a narrow inner-city context.
Although the house is rather small, it acts beyond its size measured in square meters as a clear statement of modern architecture. This is further underlined by its innovative usage concept. The floors EG to 2nd floor are used intensively as a think tank and community hub under the name “Casino Futur. ”
The “Salon” on the ground floor, with its optically public area created by the large window, invites the residents of the district to a new communication and contributes with its events to a more intensive interaction. The small terrace in front of the house is included and used as a new living area and meeting point.
The apartment with roof terrace on the 3rd floor fulfils the demand for contemporary and urban living. There, the large corner window opens the living area to the city, which rises to almost 6m height and allows a generous view over the rooftops of Bremen. The building also makes a clear statement for sustainable architecture with its air heat pump, rainwater use and green roof.
